Matt has spent over 30 years on Wall Street working in the securities and asset management business in various sales, trading and executive roles.

Prior to joining World Investment Advisors working with ultra-high net worth clients, Matt was based in London where he was head of Bank of America’s $40 billion investment management division for Europe, Middle East, Latin America, and Asia While. While in that role, he conducted business in over 45 countries where he worked with some of the world’s largest multi-national corporations, sovereign wealth funds and foreign central banks.

When not working, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Valerie, boating, going to concerts, watching college football, and listening to all types of music. Matt also plays several instruments, trains in the martial arts, and loves spending time with any dog or cat he meets, including the family cat, McGoo.

Valerie focuses exclusively on serving retirement plans and their participants. She specializes in helping plan sponsors meet their fiduciary obligations by providing ERISA 3(38) investment services, committee governance resources, regular plan fee and design benchmarking, and participant education and communications. Valerie holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.

Prior to joining SWM, Valerie spent 15+ years in commercial and corporate banking, serving as a trusted advisor to middle-market companies throughout Florida’s west coast.

Valerie maintains an active role in the community by serving on multiple non-profit boards. She is also a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay, Leadership Tampa, and Leadership Pinellas. Valerie earned both her B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Florida. While in graduate school at the University of Florida, Valerie was recognized as Matherly Scholar.

When not working, you will find Valerie spending time with her husband Matt, boating, traveling, running, reading, and hanging out with friends and family. She also shares a home with a very demanding rescue kitty.
